Support

Buy me a coffee.

SummitStack PH is free, carries no ads, and sells nothing. If it has been useful on your climbs, a small contribution keeps it running and growing.

Why I am asking

This site is built and maintained by one person, in the hours between climbs. There is no monetization on it yet — no ads, no sponsors, no paid tier, nothing sold to anybody.

So if you have ever ticked off a peak here, downloaded a conquest card, or shared your page with a hiking buddy and thought it was worth something — a coffee genuinely means a lot. It is the only thing keeping the lights on right now, and it is what lets me keep improving the site instead of trimming it back.

Where the money goes

Every peso goes into the continuous improvement of the site — the infrastructure it runs on, and the room to build on top of it. Concretely, that is three things:

  • Server capacity

Every page, every share card, and every sign-in is served from a hosting plan. More hikers means more of it — and the free tier only stretches so far.

  • Database headroom

Published climb logs, profiles, the leaderboard, and the feedback you send all live in a database with a size and traffic ceiling. Raising that ceiling is a paid upgrade.

  • File storage

Profile photos are compressed in your browser before they are uploaded, but they still add up. Storage is billed by what is kept and by how often it is served.

  • And the time to keep going

More peaks catalogued, better trail data, and the features people keep asking for on the feedback form. Support is what makes that sustainable rather than borrowed time.

Scan to send a coffee

Open Maya, GCash, or your banking app, scan the code below, and send whatever you feel like — there is no suggested amount and no minimum.

Maya InstaPay QR code for Dennis San Jose, handle @dennissanjose

Your app should show the name Dennis San Jose before you confirm. If it shows anything else, stop — and please tell me.

It goes through InstaPay, so your bank or wallet may charge its own transfer fee. Whatever arrives goes straight into the running costs above.

What a coffee does and does not buy

  • It is purely support, not a purchase. Contributions buy no EXP, no rank, no badge, and no place on the leaderboard. Every rank on this site is earned on the trail and nowhere else.
  • Nothing is ever locked behind it. The checklist, the scoring, the share card, the public page, and the leaderboard stay free for everyone, whether or not anybody ever sends a thing.
  • It is not an order, a subscription, or a donation to a registered charity. It is one hiker handing another hiker a coffee, and it is not refundable. Please only send what you are comfortable letting go of.
  • You are under no obligation whatsoever. Using the app, telling a friend about it, or reporting a wrong difficulty on a peak is worth plenty on its own.
